Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") governs your use of PostPilot.Help, a social media content management and scheduling platform operated by Smith Medical, P.C. ("we," "us," or "our"). It applies to everyone who accesses or uses our website, applications, and services (the "Service"), including the publishing and scheduling of posts to connected social accounts such as YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon.

This Policy supplements, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to follow this Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service. We may update this Policy from time to time, and continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised version.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not create, upload, schedule, publish, or distribute through the Service any content that is illegal, harmful, or that violates the rights of others. Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to:

  • Illegal content — anything that violates applicable laws, promotes criminal activity, or facilitates fraud, illegal goods, or regulated products.
  • Hate speech — content that attacks, dehumanizes, or incites hatred against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
  • Harassment and bullying — targeted abuse, threats, intimidation, doxxing, or content intended to shame or silence individuals.
  • Sexual exploitation — any child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that sexualizes minors. We report such material to the appropriate authorities.
  • Violent or graphic content — material that glorifies violence, incites terrorism, or depicts gratuitous gore for shock value.
  • Self-harm promotion — content that encourages, instructs, or glorifies suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders.

3. Prohibited Conduct

Regardless of the content involved, you may not use the Service to engage in the following behaviors:

  • Spam — sending unsolicited, repetitive, or deceptive posts, comments, or messages, or operating bulk accounts to flood networks.
  • Platform and API abuse — misusing our integrations or the connected networks' APIs, including circumventing usage limits or intended functionality.
  • Scraping and rate-limit evasion — harvesting data without authorization, or using scripts, proxies, or other techniques to bypass rate limits.
  • Impersonation — falsely representing yourself as another person, brand, or organization, or misappropriating someone's identity.
  • Buying fake engagement — purchasing or generating artificial followers, likes, views, comments, or other inauthentic engagement signals.
  • Malware and phishing — distributing viruses, malicious links, or content designed to deceive users into revealing credentials or sensitive data.

4. Respecting Third-Party Platform Rules

When you connect a social account to PostPilot.Help, you remain fully responsible for complying with that network's own terms, policies, and community guidelines. The Service is a tool that acts on your behalf; it does not exempt you from the rules of any connected platform.

This includes the terms and policies of X, Meta (Facebook, Instagram, and Threads), TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky, and Mastodon. A violation of a connected network's rules may result in that network suspending your account, and may also constitute a violation of this Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

You must respect the intellectual property rights of others. Only publish content you own or have permission to use, and do not post material that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please review our DMCA and copyright policy for instructions on submitting a notice to our designated agent.

6. Account Security Responsibilities

You are responsible for safeguarding your PostPilot.Help account and any connected social accounts. Keep your login credentials confidential, use a strong and unique password, and enable additional security measures where available.

Do not share your account access with unauthorized parties, and notify us immediately at smithappsupport@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You are accountable for activity that occurs under your account.

7. Enforcement and Consequences

We may investigate suspected violations of this Policy and take any action we consider appropriate. Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, enforcement may include:

  • Warnings — notice of a violation and a request to correct the behavior.
  • Suspension — temporary limits on, or disabling of, your account or specific features while we review the matter.
  • Termination — permanent closure of your account, including paid plans purchased through Stripe, for serious or repeated violations.

Paid subscriptions and one-time packs are subject to the refund and cancellation terms described in our Terms of Service. We may also remove content, preserve records, and cooperate with law enforcement where required by law.

8. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or conduct that violates this Policy, please report it to us at smithappsupport@gmail.com. Include enough detail for us to locate and review the issue, such as relevant links, usernames, and a description of the problem.

9. Governing Law and Contact

This Policy is governed by, and enforced in accordance with, the jurisdiction set out in our Terms of Service. Questions about this Policy can be directed to Smith Medical, P.C. at smithappsupport@gmail.com.
